Known as the “Viking“, Bunji Garlin has been crushing the Soca charts and events with his hits. During his visit to Jamaica, he stopped by the Onstage set to have a chat with Winford Williams. Here he spoke on his 15 year career, the popularity of Soca music in Jamaica and overseas, getting support in the U.S., challenges in his career, working with Richie Stephens, family life, and more. It’s a Caribbean and Harlem linkup today on this “Black Friday” with ASAP Ferg, Bunji Garlin repping Trinidad and Spice repping Jamaica. Titled “Jolly” and produced by Corey Maor, we hear the three acts bringing the street dance to the “‘Hood” with ASAP’s raps, Bunji’s Soca chants and Spice’s bad gal Dancehall lyrics. A fun effort as the hook would encourage fist pumping whether you’re a Raver, a “‘Hood fellow” with liquor in hand or a “Bad gal”.
