Some Want Matrimony, Lady Lava Says “Match Yuh Money”

Posted on by swadedavillain

Is it Wedding season? Maybe not, but people are getting married. Sometimes when that love looks and feels real, they put a ring on it, and exchange vows with hopes that they be there for each other for life. There are others who are not focused on all that lovey dovey stuff. They’re in it for the longterm gains. Let Lady Lava tell it, some are in it for matrimony, others want “Match Yuh Money“.

Produced by Bass and T-One Productions on the “Bumper Sticker Riddim“, Lady Lava explores the transactional relationships that get to “jumping the broom” status in, “Match Yuh Money”. When the money’s little, the love gets to hiding, but if they hit the jackpot, expect love to find them. Some will say real love isn’t there anymore, and they’d rather barter for a better life. When the business is done right, it can be the move for generational wealth, just don’t let that divorce happen. Lava comes through with clever lyrics and her usual energy, and many will be keeping this in rotation. Going to the Chapel soon? Get your financial affairs in order.

Salim "BruceLim" Brown x Robert "Dubwise" Browne - "My Mind = Made Up" on 13thStreetPromotions.com

.@SalimxBruceLim Rocks Out With Dad @RobertDubwise On “My Mind = Made Up”

Posted on by swadedavillain

Musician/Producer Salim “Brucelim” Browne like many musicians, has been channeling his feelings through his Instruments. The Bassist has been crafting beautiful sounds for quite some time, and may be the secret weapon you need in a Studio session. With a handful of releases showcasing his production prowess, he takes a task that finds him collaborating with an Icon. That person is legendary Musician/Producer Robert “Dubwise” Browne, also known as his Dad! Together they make a beautiful moment called, “My Mind = Made Up“.

Armed with their many analog and digital Instruments, Salim and Robert Browne give us the father/son tag team with a diverse range of sounds. Originally an Instrumental with an Artist in mind, Salim scrapped the idea after not seeing any progress, and extended the beat with the help of his Dad. If you like the production, you may want to reach out for a chance to rap/sing/deejay over the beat. The father/son dynamic is no stranger to the music scene, as we have seen collaborations with Vybz Kartel and his sons Likkle Addi and Likkle Vybz, Burro Banton and Leno Banton, Buju Banton with his sons Jahazeil and Markus Myrie, and most recently Tommy Lee Sparta and his son Skirdle Sparta. We hope this opens the door for more father/son collabs, and we look forward to more from Salim “Brucelim” Browne!

(Editor’s note: Big up the Browne family! Generations of talent. Check out this classic.)
