OMC Records Steps Out With High Profile Music Releases!

Montego Bay, St James based One McKinley Crescent, otherwise known as OMC Records, is a new Record Label that is on the verge of making big waves in the Jamaican music scene. Founded in 2020 by Producers Renardo “Bobo” Fowler, Kamar “Dropis” Lindo, and Ricardo “Ricky” Kerr, OMC Records was established to bring fresh and new sounds to the world, and recruit and assist in developing new talent, making them future legends and game changers. Looking to end the year with a bang, OMC Records gears up for some high profile releases.

While Riddim compilations are usually the norm for Jamaican Record Labels, OMC Records takes a different approach, and is closing off the year with the release of Shaneil Muir’s “Hype And Boasy”, and Silk Boss’ “Dat Rich”. Shaneil Muir, originally from Flanker in Montego Bay, has been one of the dominating female Artists in recent years, possessing a string of hit singles which include “Same Guy”, “3D”, and “Yamabella”, and OMC Records believes “Hype And Boasy” will be another single that will be added to the Artist’s hit making discography. Silk Boss is a rising Dancehall Artist who is fresh off the success of his breakout singles “Mankind”, “Life Story”, and “Geet Weh”. The Montego Bay based Deejay is one of the contenders for best new Artist of 2021, and his upcoming “Dat Rich” collaboration with OMC Records has the potential to take his career, and the Record Label to the next level.

The releases don’t stop for OMC Records as new singles from Lahba, Big Voice, and Drezee are scheduled to be released along with Shaneil Muir and Silk Boss’ singles. Lahba steps out with “Light Bulb”, Big Voice follows up with “Lion King”, while Drezee is next with “Curfew”. The Artists are just some of the few collaborators OMC Records has been connecting with behind the scenes, and the Label looks forward to support from public through Social Media shares, Radio Show spins, Playlists, and plays on music streaming platforms. OMC Records started as a dream, and is about to change the way you listen to music, stand out from the rest, and turn homegrown talent into stars.

It’s been close to 2 months since Reggae/Dancehall Artist Bugle released his latest album, “Toxicity“. The album has been doing well since its release, with fans sharing their favourite selections, and praising Bugle for another great body of work. The grind continues as Bugle has been putting out quality content in support of the album. While many were thrilled with the Nation Boss collaboration called, “Experience“, you can now enjoy it even more with the release of its music video.

Directed by KhingCam and done in collaboration with Cooriya Bikes, Bugle and Nation Boss ride through the Kingston streets bringing their track to life. The single was highly anticipated before its summer 2021 release, and helped to drum up even more buzz for the “Toxicity” album. The Cooriya Bikes have a buzz though, we may need a couple of them with our branding (who can make that happen? 🥺). The visual for “Experience” is a clean one, and shows some well needed unity, and some fun thanks to the bike riding. Look out for more Bugle content.

Dancehall Artist Fully Bad has brought his career to a level where he doesn’t see competition, and is making the necessary moves to further grow his fanbase. After receiving praise for his debut album, “Born Fi Dweet“, he looks to elevate even more with the release of his sophomore album, “Gad A Earth“.

Armed with 20 tracks, Fully Bad looks to further display his versatility as he is known for gangster music, adding party music and songs for the ladies to the tracklist. Producers featured on the album include Prince Villa Records, Moshouse Records, Tru Productions, BritishLinkz, Motion Vybz Sound, and Sartout Records. “Gad A Earth” may sound blasphemous to some, but the Cassava Piece resident sees it as a title earned through respect from the people, and giving back to his community. The “Gad A Earth” album will be released in 2022, and to kick things off, the first single “Composure” debuts today.

“Composure” was produced by the duo of Dane and Darren Sortie a.k.a. Sartout Records (R.I.P. Dane), and finds Fully Bad stepping out in a big way as he lets you know why he is the way he is. The single is accompanied by a music video that was directed by YD Studioz, and shot in Westmoreland. The music video can be seen below. It’s Fully Bad’s time to rule.

Earlier this year, Producer/Recording Artist Kris Karz released the groovy single, “ENERGY” with Singer Timothy David. Featuring smooth vocals and witty lyrics paired with a dope production, it was Kris’ 3rd single that was leading up to a project that had a possible Summer 2021 release. With life being life and Covid’s still running the show, those plans were postponed. Now with a renewed focus, Kris Karz is back to give the world for content. Today, we get the visual for “ENERGY“!

Directed by Dylan Golden, Kris Karz brings his A-game to your screen! Throughout the “ENERGY” video we can see him making some smooth moves on a beautiful Afro lady (played by Dyna Edyne), giving us some 70s Soul vibes. When he’s not getting into some player vibes, he takes it to the stage by performing with his band that consists of Kris Karz on keys, and Kris Karz on Guitar. Timothy David shows up throughout the video as well to deliver the hook. Kris Karz continues to give us dope visuals to go with his singles, and we know he has a lot more in store. The Covid 19 pandemic has truly done a number on the world, there is no Country that’s exempt from its effects. With the numbers constantly growing daily, many are trying to find solutions to better themselves, and save lives. Comedian Kyng Tavii gets serious and took to the Media to report on a new Vaccine that has been exceeding expectations, and possibly being the gamechanger that it’s made to be.

Kyng Tavii joins Content Creators/Comedians Hat Dogg, CAW Media, and Vogue Pixel Studio for a special report, and we get to see this new Covid 19 Vaccine that has quickly become the popular choice for Jamaica, and soon the rest of the world. With comments like “It tastes good in the body“, and Vaxxers returning for multiple doses, we may have found hope after all to combat this deadly virus. FRIENDS ONLY is an LA based creative company founded by Natalie Prospere, and is partners with Mass Appeal Records, the label behind releases from Run The Jewels, Dave East, and its co-founder, Nas. Recently, the company announced a new product called, “Friends Only, Jamaica“. “Friends Only, Jamaica” is on a mission to bridge the gap between local talent in Jamaica, and visiting artists and producers from the U.S. As a part of the mission, a “Friends Only, Jamaica” compilation has been made, with the first single, “Never Be The Same” featuring Kabaka Pyramid, Medisun, Hector “Roots” Lewis, Buddy, and EarthGang released a few days ago. Today, we get to see the official Music Video.

Directed by Nickii Kane and shot in Ocho Rios, we’re given a BTS look at how the track was put together. The video finds the Artists writing and recording their parts over the Dre Day production, and we see some unity and good vibes throughout. Producers Universvl ZincFence and J.L.L., Recording Artist Lucky Daye, and Reggae Artist Chronixx make appearances in the visual, and just by watching we know the recording sessions were a lot of fun. We look forward to the full “Friends Only, Jamaica” compilation when it hits the streets and streams in 2022.
