NEW VIDEO: @NoiseyMusic Jamaica Dancehall Show: Episode 6: @RealiOctane

noisey1

Noisey Music is back with another episode of the “Noisey Jamaica Dancehall Show“. In today’s episode Noisey features Reggae star I-Octane. Here Codine Williams showcased I-Octane rehearsing for his performance at Reggae Sumfest and recording dubs at Buju Banton’s Gargamel Studios. Octane also spoke on his upbringing, his interest in music at a young age, his mission to make his music speak volumes and gain further recognition, and being a good influence. Nice Interview, I like that they featured his “We Love The Vibes” single and dropping a exclusive at the end. I wished this interview was longer though. Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

Honey Pot Riddim (Cover)

This evening’s new music comes from Reggae artist Chronixx. Titled “Smile Jamaica” and produced by Silly Walks Discotheque on the Honey Pot Riddim, Chronixx uses the formula where he personifies Jamaica as a woman, haves a conversation with her and encourages her to smile. Lovely song, it’s a feel good song from the young artist. Check out the song below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

OLDIES SUNDAY: Beres Hammond x Marcia Griffiths (@QueenOfReggae) – Live On (1992)

Today’s Oldies Sunday selection comes from two legendary singers, Beres Hammond and Marcia Griffiths. Seeing that this is the last week in February and I haven’t posted a love song this would make a perfect one to end the “Love” theme for the month. Titled “Live On” and produced by Donovan Germain for Penthouse Records in 1992 on the “College RockRiddim.

Live On” finds these two singers talking about being there for each other through good and bad times, expressing the feelings they have for each other and proclaiming that even through old age they’ll still be close and live on.
