PRESS RELEASE: @RealIboFire Has Been Selected!

Recording Artiste Ibo Fire started off the new year on a high with the release of the “Can’t Wait Remix” alongside Nicha B from St. Kitts. Through a mutual associate, Foxxlink of 12 to 12 Productions a connection was made between Ibo Fire and Nicha B and the rest is history. “The link came through my road manager Foxx; Nicha B sent the song to him and Foxx called me up. Wi meds the song with studio engineer Prince Villa at Krush Proof studio alongside Paul Mullings, CEO of 12 To 12 Muzik and we worked until we were happy with the results” Revealed Ibo Fire. When quizzed about the collaboration with Ibo Fire, Nicha B said, “Ibo Fire did a great job on this track, by fusing the reggae vibes with the Soca vibes. He is a really good Artiste and very easy to work with; I took the time out to listen to all his tracks from the Gateway EP, and it was exceptional and equally uplifting, so of course I selected him to work with.”

“Can’t Wait Remix” was first premiered by Kurt Riley on Fame FM radio and became an instant favourite there and other radio stations in and out of the Caribbean. With the Carnival season in the air both Ibo Fire and Nicha B are confident that this song will be a big hit. Both artistes are looking forward to working again very soon on some new joint projects, as a matter of fact, a new collaboration is already in the making. Ibo Fire is gearing up for some local and overseas shows early this year, he also released “I Can’t Pretend” and urges fans to look out for that song as a lot more is coming from the Reggae sensation.

Chip Off The Old Block: Meet The New Kids Of Dancehall x Reggae (Pt. 2)

First they started out as the youth of the Dancehall/Reggae culture, now they’re parents with growing kids. It isn’t unusual for the child of an Entertainer to follow in their parent’s footsteps one way or the other as at times they bring a modern take on their parent’s creations, or create their own lane. Some of the most famous off springs include Stephen, Ziggy, and Damian “Junior Gong” Marley (Sons of Bob Marley), Chino and Di Genius (Sons of Freddie McGregor), Junior Tucker (Son of Jimmy Tucker), Morgan Heritage (Children of Denroy Morgan), Tarrus Riley (Son of Jimmy Riley), Queen Ifrica (Daughter of Derrick Morgan), Protoje (Son of Lorna Bennett), Chronixx (Son of Chronicle) and many more. In part 2 of a few part series, I feature more of the new set of kids on the scene whose parents have covered much ground in their respective careers.

PRESS RELEASE: @MagranMusic1 Soars with “Bad Grandson”

Rising Dancehall Artiste Magran has been getting great buzz in the streets with his newest single, “Bad Grandson”. The song was released under his own record label, Magran Music. The song is a humorous one and interchanges between two personalities, the Grandmother and the Grandson. While the Grandmother is expressing her frustrations with her Grandson because he is “bad” and has “nuff girls”, the Grandson wishes his Grandmother would just let him live his life.

Overall it is a very fun and playful concept that is clearly working for Magran, and the upcoming Artiste is loving the attention that he has been getting from the streets and radio so far. “I am bringing back the Granny/Grandson concept to life that General Degree started. I love music and I aim to revolutionize the game and bring back the humour and fun in Dancehall music.” Despite being very talented, Magran has been an underground Artiste for several years but is adamant that 2016 is the year and he will rise to the occasion so the world will know him and his music.

“A long time mi a do music and now I have a better understanding of how things work. I have a team of young people that I am working closely with who knows the business and has taken the time to help me with a lot of things”, revealed Magran. Magran is working closely with rising Record Label Vision House Records and Susan Smith of Powerhouse Gobal Media, who is responsible for all his Public Relations related work. Plans are also in motion for the shooting of the accompanying video, so fans of the Artiste can look out for that as well.
