After teasing fans with the behind the scenes and trailer videos, I Octane and KyMani Marley have finally released “A Yah Wi Deh“. Directed by Bling Blang (Sasha Bling) and shot in Tower Hill, we hear the artists dropping lyrics about the struggles and being on the battlefield while we see scenes of people doing what they can to survive in the ghetto. We also see scenes of the artists performing for the people and also partying with them in the end. A great effort here, Bling Blang did a good job as it’s very clean and this marks as another hit on her list. I Octane’s “My Journey” is in stores now. Given that today is “Throwback Thursday” for some, why not bring my readers back in time with one of Vybz Kartel’s last performances before being apprehended by the law. Performing at Reggae Sumfest 2011, Vybz, along with Sheba, Popcaan, Gaza Slim, Tommy Lee Sparta, and Shawn Storm, performed a slew of hits and brought a lot of energy to the event. For many, this would’ve been the last time they’ve seen Vybz Kartel perform live. Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
Dropping a new music video today is the “Dancehall Duchess” Tiana and this features Deejay Unycorn. Titled “18 & Ova” and directed by Carlington Wilmot and OutARoad Pictures, we see Tiana and a couple ladies play the role of school girls who try to seduce Unycorn who plays the adult role. In the song Unycorn is adamant on not being with a female below the age of 18 but Tiana doesn’t want to hear that because she has a crush on him and continues to convince him in every way. A good effort here as this is something that happens quite often here where men prey on young girls, and even young girls preying on men. He says 18 and over only ladies. In just a couple years, Reggae artist Chronixx has become a household name worldwide. With captivating lyrics and an awesome stage presence, there’s no stopping the 21 year old artist. Tonight he joined Winford Williams to speak on a few things. Here he spoke about his upcoming “Dread And Terrible” project and the meaning of the name, being the jack of all musical trades and being around multifaceted people, accomplishing so much in his youth and giving it up to his ever expanding team, being independent, going on a European tour, and being more serious about his career and making the right investments. Great Interview here, with the way his career is going it’s only right that he molds it the way he wants it to be and ensures that no faults are being made. Dread and Terrible will be available on April 1st. Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
Dropping a trailer for his upcoming video is BluRok Rapper Vindon. Titled “Bu$$“, we get no snippet of the song here but a horror movie feel of what’s to come. We also see a young lady walking through a hallway and a gun so expect some action. Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
