This feels like Vacation music complete with fancy liquor and an exotic location! The last time we heard Rapper Busta Rhymes tap into his Jamaican side was when he collaborated with Spice was on “So Mi Like It (Remix)“, and with Vybz Kartel on “Twerk It (Remix)“. Well today, he teams up again with the latter and Canadian Recording Artist Tory Lanez on “Girlfriend”(Get your copy here). Produced by Rockwilder who tears roofs off with his beats, Busta shows us why his musical career has spanned 20 years as he fires off another banger! Adding Patois to his lyrics, and speaking on bringing his Girlfriend to meet his “Mada down a country“, Busta delivers effortlessly. With the “World Boss” and “Fargo” adding their brand of dopeness to the track, this promises to burn up the airwaves, and flow through every headphone and speaker for the rest of 2017 worldwide! Good to hear Vybz Kartel on another International track despite his current situation, and Tory using his Caribbean influences. US Recording Artist Mario has been busy lately. After releasing “Let Me Help You” last year off his upcoming “Cosmo 17” Album, he felt the Caribbean heat and called up Dancehall Artist Konshens for the remix! While the track already has an Island feel to it, Konshens steps in to sprinkle his Jamaican element to it. A song about being a selfless lover, Mario aims to make this another member of his hit collection this year. The Jamaican influence continues to make its move, stay tuned for another one. @KevinLyttle’s “Turn Me On” Sampled On @ChrisBrown’s “Questions”!

Amidst all the madness in the US this week, R&B/Pop Artist Chris Brown released a new single. Titled “Questions” (Get It Here), this was produced by A1 and Prince Chrishan and is a part of the Singer’s 40 track “Heartbreak On A Full Moon” Album which will be released later this year. For this track, Chris has drawn inspiration from the Caribbean in not only the Production, but in the lyrics. More notably, the song samples Soca Artist Kevin Lyttle’s 2003 smash hit, “Turn Me On” (Get It Here)! Hailing from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Kevin Lyttle garnered International stardom with the lead single off his self-titled Debut Album. The song, which was produced by RedOne and Nely on one version, and Adrian Bailey on another which featured Dancehall Artist Spragga Benz, was also a top 10 hit in 15 different countries, saw Gold and Platinum certifications worldwide, covered/remixed numerous times, and was even re-recorded in 2008 for his second Album featuring Soca Artist Alison Hinds.

Produced by Frank Dukes and features Dancehall Artist Kranium, the two Artists have a lovers’ quarrel where Bebe misses being catered to in different ways, while Kranium lets her know that he tries to do the right things, but the extra duties can’t come that often. While they talk it out, we are greeted with a fun Production that you can’t help but rock to. Score another hit as Kranium has been on a roll with the International collaborations.
