During his recent travels, the “Unruly Boss” Popcaan stopped by the Noisey offices to be a part of the “The People Vs” series. Here, Popcaan reads comments off Youtube for his 2015 Music Video for “Love Yuh Bad“. From the good to weird, Popcaan handles as many comments as he can from viewers worldwide. “Love Yuh Bad” was featured on Popcaan’s debut album, “Where We Come From“, and was sampled on Drake’s “Views” album. For those in the UK, you can catch Poppy performing alongside Stefflon Don, and D Double E. Popcaan is also busy working on new music, and maybe a follow up to his debut album. Recording Artist Alexx A-Game has been pretty busy in recent times, but he had his moments where he surprises us with new music. Recently, he teamed up with Manchester, UK based DJ/Production Collective Swing Ting and it resulted in a remix to his very popular single, “A-Game Everyday“. A song that has been an anthem for the Blog and our affiliate Blaze 876 Radio, Swing Ting took A-Game’s vocals and brought their unique sound which was provided by members DJ Platt and DJ Samrai, and lifted the track up on another level! You’ve seen her on TV, you’ve witnessed her performances on Broadway, you’ve assisted in her various causes over the years, but did you know Sheryl Lee Ralph is also a Singer? Today’s Oldies Sunday showcases a moment in her singing career with “In The Evening“! Produced by Trevor Lawrence and written by Lawrence and Frank Musker, this Dance/Pop single was released in 1984 and was a part of her only album, “In The Evening” on the The New York Music Company Label. On the single, Sheryl sings about the challenges of living in New York City, but all that is pushed aside when she becomes a part of the nightlife where she states, “The real me comes alive“.
