Directed by AllEyesOnIt, we get a little lecture from the “Odd Ras” then Jahkime joins him later to kick off lyrics over an old school Hip Hop production (Blackstar x Common’s “Respiration”). OLDIES SUNDAY: Sugar Minott – Herbman Hustling (1984)

Today’s Oldies Sunday selection is dedicated to the hustlers. We go back to the early 80’s with the late Sugar Minott. Titled “Herbman Hustling” and produced by Sly & Robbie for the Taxi Records in 1984. The song speaks on the day to day experiences of the Marijuana merchant including dealing with the law, and sourcing the best product. Minott’s delivery in this single puts the listener in a first person perspective (and possibly catch a contact high) over the smooth Sly & Robbie production.

Titled “What Kinda Herbs“. and directed by Yosef Imagination, we see the artists feature the herbs in various processes from being reaped on a farm, to being packaged, to being distributed. NEW MUSIC: @IAmVindon – Highest (Hotline Bling Freestyle)

Hopping on the popular “Hotline Bling” track today is Jamaican Rapper, Vindon. Renaming it “Highest“, Vinny flips the single into an ode to Marijuana and states that only the best of herbs can enter his grinder and his papers. The things weed can do. Blaze one for Vindon as he prepares to release his “2020 EP” in a few weeks. Send him a few bags too so he can pass a few stars.
