Stella did it, Karlie Redd and Mimi Faust did it, and now Pop Artist Ivy Layne travels to Jamaica for a vacation (and more) in “One You Love (Get It Here)“! Directed by Bobby Yan and featuring the “Unruly Boss” Popcaan, Ivy sings about being with the one she loves and being away from it all with the one you love, a dream for many lovers out there. Shot in Portland, this features cameos from the likes of Dancehall Artist Prado, Dancer Chinny Unique, Singer Samantha J, and DJ Pup Dawg. The single was produced by Rohan “Snowcone” Fuller, and is on Ivy’s recently released “In Time (Download Here)” EP. Popcaan has been on a roll lately as he has worked with Gorillaz, performed overseas, and will be a part of the Red Bull Culture Clash next month in Atlanta, Georgia! Woiyoii! Watch the video below.

Featuring his 2016 “No Lie” collaboration with UK Artist Dua Lipa, players can rock to the soundtrack which also adds old school Hip Hop, Rock, and some of the more recent hit songs out there. “No Lie” was released last November on Island Records, and has since been certified Gold in the UK, Platinum in France, and has peaked to #2 in Hungary and the Czech Republic music charts. NBA 2K18 hits stores in September but you can hear the full soundtrack now on Spotify, and watch the video for the single below.

It has been almost 20 years since his mega hit, “Traffic Blocking”, but today he drops a video for a banger with Terror Squad/YAP Music Recording Artist, Kingston. Titled “A Lil Closer” and directed by Damian Fyfee, the duo mix Dancehall with Pop/R&B, and a whole lot of “Rude Bwoy Loving” for the ladies. Directed by Devin Johnson, we find the duo taking it to the club as they party and get to know some lovely ladies. Roe Summerz delivers the vocals for the beauties, while Edley deejays his way to their hearts. The track is a Shinealous Records release, and is expected to add extra heat this Summer! Edley Shine is of the Born JAmericans and RefixKingz fame, and has been dropping singles over the year through his US based Shinealous Records while Roe Summerz has been producing and collaborating with the likes of GiRL (“High”), and Maticulus Auburn (“All For You”). You call them when you want to want a fire beat to go with your lyrics, they help you turn that song into the greatest thing someone has ever heard, they spend hours creating a masterpiece that sounds so good you’re not allowed to add your vocals to it. They are called Beatmakers, Riddim Gods, and more commonly, Producers! Artists can’t live without these people, and at times they don’t get a lot of respect. We at 13th Street Promotions recognize these creatives, and today you’ll get to know 15. Watch this space!
Wavy Jones is a play on the name “Davy Jones”, but he also owns a locker filled with some dope beats! Whether flipping samples on “Locker 1 & 2” or dropping the bass on the Jeeby Lyricist, Blvk H3ro and Kione Zaire featured “100LBS”, Jones is a Producer to check for! Catch him on the next Hidden Fvces or Alpine Compound project!
Whether playing guitar as a part of “Di Vibe” or crafting beats, Kone (Koh Neh) should not be taken lightly. Having produced newcomer Yanah’s single, “The Cycle” and her “Believe In You” Freestyle, delivered the right Riddim with fellow Producer BoomDraw for Blvk H3ro & Leno Banton’s “Sky Dive”, expect to hear more of this creative this year!
He doesn’t call himself a “Riddim God” for nothing. You’ve enjoyed many of his productions that have been complimented with the vocals of Jamar McNaughton, and he has an arsenal ready to go toe to toe with the best of Producers. Having recently released the “Dub Policy EP”, he’s busy preparing his compilation project titled “Top Works Vol. 1” which will feature his ZincFence Records members Ulo, Jane Macgizmo, and Inezi. You can also hear his work on Chronixx’s “Chronology” album. Get familiar!
