After giving viewers a look into the Jamaican Music culture last year, Noisey is back this year with their second season of “Noisey Jamaica“. Dubbed “Welcome To Noisey Jamaica“, the first episode looks into the new Reggae Movement which is led by the likes of Chronixx, Protoje, and Jesse Royal. Also featured is the controversial Dancehall artist, Alkaline, and they look into how Vybz Kartel has influenced the Dancehall culture. Titled “Ice Queen” and produced by TJ Records, they both take the R&B route here as they talk about infidelity and what they’ve done to each other. Interesting track here, it’s still crazy how many tracks have been released this year from Vybz Kartel and with Toian burning up the airwaves with “Rude Boys“, this single can go pretty far. Fresh from the vault is another Vybz Kartel creation. Titled “Cya Test We” and produced by Haad Rokk Muzik on the “Phase One Riddim“, Kartel makes it known that he and the Gaza Empire are not the ones to test and will not handle his matters with fists. He also makes sure to be protected at all times and is ready for anything. I like the singjay approach he takes on this track.
