.@PopcaanMusic Takes It To Lagos With @Davido For “Dun Rich”

It has been a splendid year for Popcaan. From releasing his sophomore album, killing it with the singles, to sold out shows and an unforgettable Unruly Fest, the icing on the cake was him finally signing to Drake’s OVO Sound. While we know 2019 will be crazier for him, he had to give us one more thing to keep the energy going. While his “Forever” album gave us some hits, folks have been feeling his “Dun Rich” single with Nigerian star Davido. Today, we get the official music video! Shot in Lagos, Nigeria, not only are the Artists fresh to death and doing their thing here, but some powerful, talented, and beautiful women were featured here and blessed us with their presence. For everyone who’s having a bit of a down moment today, we hope this video puts a smile on your face and gives you that positive energy this week and beyond. Happy Holidays/Merry Christmas everyone! Check out the video and share with a friend. Show us some love/follow us on Instagram at @13thStreetPromo.

OLDIES SUNDAY: @BujuOfficial – Me Too Bad (2005)

If you’ve been unaware, Reggae/Dancehall Icon Buju Banton is finally a free man! Having done his time in Federal Prison, Friday December 7 became a day to remember when word got out that he would be making his triumphant return to Jamaica, and return to freedom. Today on Oldies Sunday, we salute the Gargamel’s  return with one of our favourites, “Me Too Bad” (o/c “Too Bad)! Produced by Leftside & Esco on the “Throwback Giggy Riddim“, Buju effortlessly rides the riddim as he flexes his rather uncanny ability to drive the ladies crazy and requesting his presence ever so often. With lyrics like “Outta road, nuff gyal a mad ova me“, and “Mi Babymada seh mi bad, mi too bad…“, you know Buju has a way with the ladies. The single was released through VP Records and quickly became a hot track in the streets. It was also featured on his 2006 album, “Too Bad“, and became his first #1 hit in years. With Gargamel’s newfound freedom, many fans are awaiting his return to the booth to unleash the tracks that will have the place in a frenzy, but for now we wish he takes as much time to rejuvenate himself and reconnect with society and loved ones. If you want to check out more Buju content, check out our Buju Samples article we did on his Birthday, the throwback “Love Sponge” for the lovers, and Lila Ike wanting to work with Buju as he’s an inspiration in an Interview with us.
