Today’s new music comes from a collaboration between UK’s DJ Neeko, Onira and Hurricane Jermaine. Titled “Herbalist Man” and produced by Onira and Neeko as O.S.O.M., we hear Hurricane Jermaine singing about his love for the herbs while we get a bit of dubstep throughout the track. Not a bad effort from them, very interesting hearing dubstep with lyrics encouraging the use of marijuana. It’s the healing of the nation so If you get some, you know what to do. NEW MUSIC: @IShawna – Anniversary

With June being a popular month for weddings and anniversaries, singer I Shawna took the time out to make a song to show dedication.  Titled “Anniversary” and produced by Real Madd Ent. on the “Vacation” Riddim, we hear I Shawna reminiscing on moments she has spent with her lover, what emotions she has felt, and celebrating their anniversary. Not a bad effort from I Shawna, this is a song for the couples out there who are about to celebrate anniversaries or are even looking to take the next step in their relationship. PICS: @RealiOctane x @REPJA “Buss A Blank” T-Shirt Popup Shop At @BaseKingston

On Saturday June 15, clothing company REPJA and Reggae artist I Octane launched their collaboration in the form of a t-shirt at the premiere clothing store “Base Kingston & Belle” located at the Manor Park Plaza. While the event started later than the announced 3 pm, customers and onlookers got to see the new t shirt along with other creations by REPJA owners and designers Andre Allen, Omar Thomas, and Prince Graham. Since their inception in 2007, REPJA has managed to gain recognition all over the world. With celebrities such as Shaggy, Leon from Dormtainment, Beenie Man, and Konshens rocking the gear, their collaboration with I Octane marks as their Introduction to the Jamaican market. The design features a robotic hand forming the “gun fingers” gesture to signify the phrase “Buss A Blank” which is the name of I Octane’s hit. Patrons were also treated to music juggling  by DJ Vise, dancing by DanceJA and BG Dancerz, and performances from Canadian rapper Kardinal Offishall and of course I Octane. The t shirt will be available at Base Kingston, REPJA.com, and select venues where I Octane will be performing. The shirt is so cool, I’m sorry I didn’t get one. Mixtape Movements: @Protoje – Music From My Heart (Presented by @IAmYaadCore)

In celebration of Protoje’s birthday, he teamed up with Yaadcore to release his “Music From My Heart” mixtape. Featuring 27 tracks which are a combination of music from his “8 Year Affair” along with exclusive tracks, this promises to be a great fix for the Protoje fan and a great start for the new listener. Features on this mixtape include Chronixx, Jah9, Kabaka Pyramid, and the legendary Sizzla. Today also marks the beginning of their summer tour in the United States and Europe so if you’re in those areas get yourself informed on where you can see him perform. Plotting on a come up the Sons Of Liberty finally dropped their long awaited mixtape. Titled “Escape Theory“, this is a 13 track set of hard hitting lyrics and production by the collective. Featuring production by King Biggs, Heatwave, RipTide, and haYze and verses from all members, this is a project that was 7 years in the making. Recorded at Phillip Myers’ studio, they were able to bring  us music from the soul, their form of expression without restriction or control.
