First off, let us wish you a Happy New Year! 2020 may have been terrible for many of us, but it’s a blessing to see a brand new year filled with possibilities. Make great things happen in 2021.

Keeping up with the brand, we start the year off with brand new content! Today, we’re happy to premiere Producer/Recording Artist Kris Karz’s official visualizer for his 2020 track, “HEARTBREAK“! Directed by Karz (Dylan Golden handled the editing) and featuring the lovely Sara Jade, Kris finds himself in a bit of a relationship problem. For some, there can be trust issues, miscommunication, and even insecurity. While Kris may be feeling the stress from some of the unnecessary arguments, he ensures his lady that he’s all about her, and she should stop stressing over nothing and hurting herself in the process.

Kris Karz has been pretty busy behind the scenes for most of 2020, but with a new project on the way, he is gearing up to keep the Internet occupied with some of his new creations through his Kngly Studios imprint. Justice The Artiste Steps Out With The “We Want Justice!” EP

2020 saw many artists stepping out of their comfort zone, or even making their debut. Overall, many of them provided great music for us to enjoy. Justice The Artiste tries to find a balance between making music that he loves, and keeping his Christian faith intact. Representing the new crop of Jamaican Christian acts who step away from the norm, we get to hear his new project, the “We Want Justice!” EP.

Featuring 4 tracks and a guest appearance by regular collaborator Kyxgston, Justice The Artiste gives listeners a dose of Christian Hip Hop with lyrics filled with motivation, spirituality, positivity, a little social commentary, and all around good vibes. Backed by some great production that borrows from Trap, Pop, and Dancehall influences, WWJ promises to be an entertaining listen, nothing like you’ve heard before, and will have you wanting to hear more.

On the Blog, we highlight, promote, and celebrate some of the Caribbean’s best creative talent. We’ve helped many from “Day one“, and we’ve watched their growth over the years to becoming a household name and more. GRAMMY winning Producer SOS Dynamikz is one of those talents we’ve seen build his way up long before this Blog was even created. Today on his birthday (December 12), we highlight him in our new Short Film, “SOS Dynamikz“!

Shot at his home in Manchester (Jamaica), we caught SOS Dynamikz getting into his production zone while we give you tidbits of information on him. He even shared the creative process behind Koffee’s “Blazin” featuring Jane Macgizmo that was featured on Koffee’s GRAMMY winning “Rapture” EP. If you’re new to SOS Dynamikz, this is a great opportunity to know about him. If you’re a fan, we give you an inside look on the method to SOS’ madness (lol).

The duo of Jamaican artists KinDah and Dash D make up the Friday Night Cru. No stranger to the Blog, the group has been working its way up to becoming a prominent name in the new generation of artists on the Island. With influences ranging from Jazz to Dancehall to Hip Hop, they have resulted in unique tracks that helped to boost the group’s profile and following. Looking for another banger, FNC released, “Look At Your Body (LAYB)“.

Toronto’s DJ Blkluos continues to stay busy with the music, and grows his brand. While he stepped out with some of his own bars earlier this year, he still gives the platform to other talents in his circle. Recently, he teamed up with Ryan Whiskey for the 2nd volume in his “Early Spring” series titled, “West Coast Whiskey“!

Consisting of 2 tracks plus an interlude, the EP follows up their 2016 collaboration titled, “Thank You“. Ryan Whiskey and Blkluos trade bars here and get to the point over some serious production. This is another in DJ Blkluos’ long line of EP releases this year, and is a prequel to Ryan Whiskey’s upcoming “Burning Rope & Shooting 7” EP that will be released next month. Putting it in the work, even during a pandemic!

Buddu Bye! After making noise in recent weeks with the single, Dancehall artist Popeye Caution finally drops the visual for the Splash Zanotti featured “BOW“!

Directed by Peré and Life Is Good Productions and shot in Florida, Popeye Caution can be seen cruising through the neighbourhoods in search of that loot. Whether in the Benz truck or the Quad, don’t play with him. Splash Zanotti appears later in the video to handle business with Popeye and the track’s Producer, Felva. The video features cameos from Singer David Lyn and Dancer/Style Icon Shizzle Sherlock, and Popeye even previews pieces from his new “Clothes Jesus” fashion line.
