BSBusy making music, Busy making paper! After rejuvenating his career after his stint in prison, Busy Signal has plans to expand his name and he explains it on Onstage. Here he spoke about “Watch Out Fi Dis” with Major Lazer climbing the charts and the benefits he has received from it, owning all his publishing, his involvement in the Pepsi “Bubbla” campaign, being a big name in the continent of Africa, dabbling in other musical genres, his first performance at GT Taylor’s upcoming Christmas show and future projects. Great interview, it’s so good seeing Busy Signal never missing a step since he’s been a free man. Busy on Salsa? This I got to hear. Today we’re taken back in time, 1993 to be exact thanks to the team of Major Lazer, Busy Signal, The Flexican and FS Green. Titled “Watch Out For This (Bumaye)” and directed by Jay Will, we see Busy Signal deejaying while dancers show off the top dances of that year. Check out the Cross Colours gear, the boots and jewelry. There are also cameos from Chronixx and Mystic. Very nostalgic, look at the trends from 20 years ago. This is a big one, a clash of countries and genres of music. Major Lazer teamed up with Jamaica’s Aidonia, Japan’s Gachapan, Amsterdam’s Party Squad and Brooklyn’s Baauer to give a mix of House, Trap, Electronic, and Dancehall music. Titled “Smoker Shake Oh My! (Remix)“, this is a remix of the popular Baauer creation, “Harlem Shake“. Aidonia is heard chanting “Ganja Fi Bun!” along with other lyrics. Sounds like a fun track and should drive the crowd crazy at live shows. Set to be released on March 12 on iTunes, check out the song below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
