@PopcaanMusic Reads Youtube Comments On @NoiseyMusic’s “The People Vs Popcaan”!

During his recent travels, the “Unruly Boss” Popcaan stopped by the Noisey offices to be a part of the “The People Vs” series. Here, Popcaan reads comments off Youtube for his 2015 Music Video for “Love Yuh Bad“. From the good to weird, Popcaan handles as many comments as he can from viewers worldwide. “Love Yuh Bad” was featured on Popcaan’s debut album, “Where We Come From“, and was sampled on Drake’s “Views” album. For those in the UK, you can catch Poppy performing alongside Stefflon Don, and D Double E. Popcaan is also busy working on new music, and maybe a follow up to his debut album. @PopcaanMusic Teams Up With @Gorillaz For “Saturnz Barz”!

Your favourite British Alternative Rock Virtual Band is back! The Gorillaz recently announced a new album in 6 years, and even premiered 4 new songs to boot. One of the tracks premiered is called “Saturnz Barz”, and features the “Unruly Boss”, Popcaan! Accompanied by a 6 minute VR Short Film, Popcaan displayed his Dancehall “Barz” over the Gorillaz’s haunting Production while the Band makes a visit to a “Spirit House”. Score another one for Popcaan as he is taking advantage of all the International collaborations coming his way. What will he surprise us with next? Gorillaz’s new album, “Humanz” will hit stores on April 28. Check out the video below!

With the recent beefs making their rounds in the Dancehall circles, there are a few of us who wished things got to a point where the Artists involved could just settle it all with fists in a ring. Luckily for us, Comedian Kyng Tavii spared loss of lives, unnecessary injuries, and saved a bag of money on bills and Insurance with his latest skit. Here he re-imagines the beefs as WWE Wrestling matches complete with an excited audience. In the ring we have Mavado vs Popcaan, each with their ring side partners. Who will win this match? Jamaican Producer Krs. has been making a name for himself for quite a while with his original Productions. The founder of Film Noir, he has produced many remixes and has been a part of many singles locally and Internationally including Canadian Artist Roy Woods’ “Gwan Big Up Urself“! Recently he got a hold of R&B Recording Artist Brandy’s classic “I Wanna Be Down” and worked his Production magic on it. Giving the 1994 single a face lift, Krs. takes the track on a Caribbean trip and even adds a Popcaan dubplate at the end as an added bonus. After conducting a little voting session earlier on Snapchat and Instagram, Recording Artist Toian tallied up the results and released the winning track, “So Rude“. With a smooth Production that is armed with a Popcaan sample, Toian rides it with ease as she speaks on being close to her feisty lover that wants her to break all the rules. A single that is sure to be on repeat for many, this is one of the few creations that will hold fans over till her next album. Oh yeah, “Ride The Wave” official video is on the way!
