Directed by the artist, we see him playing on the guitar, singing about freedom all while showing visuals of H.I.M. Haile Selassie I, an Ethiopian airplane and a few men playing guitars. Today’s video comes from Brooklyn rapper HopDaGreat. Titled “Lost Souls” and directed by L.E.S. Davis, we see Hop posted on a wall decorated with graffiti while rapping about how hard it is to live your life in today’s world while feeling like a lost soul. Very clean video, nice show of graphics as well although much more could have been made. Good stuff, “Preconceived Notions” coming soon. We have a world premiere! Today’s new music video comes from Reggae artist I Octane, and it’s a medley. The medley is based off Octane’s 3 big hits, “Nuh Trust None“, “Mad Dem” and “Nuh Care Who Vex“. In the video we see Octane deejaying his songs in different decorated rooms. Two ladies are featured in the video as well but one seems to show herself as a demon as her face changed into a skull in a scene. OLDIES SUNDAY: Chalice x Tiger x @IamPapaSan x Lovindeer – Dancehall Monic (1990)


Today’s Oldies Sunday selection comes from Reggae band Chalice. Titled “Dancehall Monic” which was produced and released by the band in 1990, this was a song described as “Dancehall Music meets the Opera” as it had a Opera theme to it in the instrumental and delivery of the song. This song also featured three of the biggest entertainers at the time including Papa San, Tiger and Lloyd Lovindeer.

NEW MUSIC: @ItsJahmiel_YVP – Freedom (It Will Be Ok)


Prison is not a bed of roses, many are in the system unfairly as well. Today’s new music comes from YVP artist Jahmiel. Titled “Freedom (It Will Be Ok)” and produced by Dunwell Productions, Jahmiel speaks about the experiences of someone who is locked up. He speaks about the day to day life, missing his family and all that comes with it, and also telling those who have friends and family that are incarcerated that it will be ok and freedom will come.
