There comes a time when we all have to leave this world, all that we’ve ever known is no longer with us, and we embark on the After life. While many are at peace with that, Comedian Kyng Tavii believes he’s not ready to go when the Grim Reaper comes in “The Grim Con“. Featuring fellow Comedian Kevin2WoKrayzee as the Grim Reaper, we see a hilarious skit where Tavii tries his best to escape the Reaper’s Scythe, and Kevin’s not having it. After waking up Jamaica with his crimson tinged single earlier this year, the official visual for Protoje’s “BLXXD MONEY” is finally here! Directed by Che Kothari with Production by Claire Osman, viewers get a glimpse of the many forms of corruption, a broader look than the lyrics which spoke about corruption in high places, and the various turns made throughout its running time. The video targets every class, and those who practice the dirty ways will eventually see a fall. A statement making song that turned into a powerful video, more like “What A BLXXDCLXXT Film“! For Trini Recording Artists Sarkastik Ambassador and Nick Soul (both from Overdose Music Group), they hustle together as Pool Cleaners in the video for their single, “Coloured Girls (Get It Here)“! Directed by Dominic Koo and Stephen Hadeed Jr. for Hundred Eye Films, the duo try to mix business with pleasure as their client is quite a looker (played by ArtGod Lii). Dropping lyrics in hopes of getting the young lady’s attention, you’ll have to watch to see if one will be lucky enough to win her time. OLDIES SUNDAY: Carlene Davis x Ken Boothe – Why Me Lord (1992)

I hope today’s Oldies Sunday selection inspires you. Today’s selection comes from Gospel Recording Artist and Minister Carlene Davis, and Recording Artist Ken Boothe. We go back to 1992 with “Why Me Lord” which was featured on Carlene’s Gospel Reggae album, “Jesus Is Only A Prayer Away“, released by VP Records. A cover of Country Singer/Actor Kris Kristofferson’s 1973 single, Carlene and Ken joined forces, and their powerful voices to deliver this inspirational tune. The song was also covered over the years by the late Elvis Presley, the late Johnny Cash, Cece Winans, and the late Conway Twitty.
