Season’s Greetings! We’re back with another Holiday themed Oldies Sunday! Stepping in with a selection is the one and only, Media Personality/Activist/Dub Poet/Author Mutabaruka! We go back to the year 1983 with “Postpone Christmas“! Produced by Earl “Chinna” Smith, this was released through the High Times Label. In the song, Muta speaks on those living pay cheque to pay cheque, poverty, those spending more than they earn, crime and violence, and calls for the postponement of the season until things are better. He puts the spotlight on issues that still affect many to this day and around this time of the year. Not your typical Christmas song, but something to think about. Overseas based Recording Artist Voiide has been on the scene for quite some time giving listeners a dose of his Dancehall and Hip Hop influenced sound. Recently he made some noise with his latest single, “JEFE“, and today he adds the official Music Video to the roll out. Directed by ShotByGod, Voiide speaks on his way of life in terms of how he handles friendships, business, confrontations, and the ladies, and he cannot be easily swayed to change as it’s in his genes. The track was also produced by Smitty Links. With his DMS Way (Different Mind State) movement, he seeks to make his presence felt even more in 2018 as he plans to release more music covering various themes. “JEFE” the single is now available on all Digital Music Retailers including Amazon Music, Spotify, and Apple Music. Produced by Dre Skull, Poppy brings his flair to the track as he lets you know he’s in the streets like the white line, and doesn’t need to spend money foolishly to get the attention of the ladies. Flexing the “Unruly” way while J Hus shows us what the “Bouff Daddy” life is about. An early Christmas present for those who have been waiting, and another International collaboration for Popcaan. The Major Lazer sound continues to reach the heart and soul of many! With their EP “Know No Better” still making its round, and before they embark on touching down in Jamaica later this month, they release the visual for the Sean Paul and J Balvin assisted “Buscando Huellas“! The video was directed by Juan Pablo Valencia, and features only Jillionaire, J Balvin, and some unique Dancers having a small dance off inside an abandoned building. With the song’s blend of Reggaeton, Dancehall, EDM, it calls for the Dance groups to perform coordinated moves to this one. Would’ve been cool if Sean Paul was present for this, but he was probably on tour with Chi Ching Ching. Time to bust a move, watch the video below!
