The Council, @KabakaPyramid, @KoroFyah & @MassyTheCreator Share Social Commentary On New Track

It’s “Crunch Time” for the Hip Hop “Supergroup“, The Council (Five Steez, Nomad Carlos, The Sickest Drama, Inztinkz) as their debut Album’s release comes sooner than you think. Teaming up with Kabaka Pyramid, Koro Fyah, and Massy The Creator, they unleashed their 5th single titled, “Misery“. With Inztinkz handling the boards, the Artists offer some social commentary as they detail the conditions faced in Jamaica and how frustrating it can be to the point leaving the Island could be an option. In a society where the blind is leading the blind, and the system barring out those who can make a difference, it really is dread out here. Be on the look out as The Council sees September 29 as the due date for their debut Album, “Nothing Else Matters“. Artwork by Jome Anderson a.k.a. Scotty DreamKiller. Check out the track below.

The Producer is a very important person when it comes to Music. Without their contributions, many of your favourite songs would have never been heard. No matter how good an Artist is, a Producer helps to direct and develop the talent. Recently we had a chat with Florida based Producer/Recording Artist/Musician, Kris Karz. Known for his “Kngly Live!” series on here, he has also been a part of some tracks featuring some members of the “New Wave” movement (Royal Blu, Kapital Stone, K. Charlz, Leno Banton). It’s back to School time again, and US Retail giant JC Penney is here for it with all the sales. Recently, they released a new Commercial highlighting some “Back To School” deals with the “Get Your Penney’s Worth” tagline, and providing the soundtrack was the 1994 classic, “Here Comes The Hotstepper“! The song, which was performed by Jamaican Recording Artist Ini Kamoze and produced by US Producer Salaam Remi (Remix version) and the late Jamaican Producer “Fatis” Burrell (Original), is considered Ini’s biggest hit to date and his only track to top the US Billboard Top 100 Chart, while performing the same feat in the respective charts in Canada, New Zealand, and Denmark. The song was also a top 10 hit in various countries, and received Gold and Platinum certifications in the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, and France. The Intro of the single (Hit it! Nah, na na na nah…Here comes the Hotstepper) was performed in the 15 second clip but not by the Artist. Check it out below!
