Sometimes in life, you have to have an extra hustle. For Trini Recording Artists Sarkastik Ambassador and Nick Soul (both from Overdose Music Group), they hustle together as Pool Cleaners in the video for their single, “Coloured Girls (Get It Here)“! Directed by Dominic Koo and Stephen Hadeed Jr. for Hundred Eye Films, the duo try to mix business with pleasure as their client is quite a looker (played by ArtGod Lii). Dropping lyrics in hopes of getting the young lady’s attention, you’ll have to watch to see if one will be lucky enough to win her time. If your pool needs a proper cleaning today, give them a call, and don’t let them see your girl! Check out the video below.

The WINC Acceleration Program For Women Entrepreneurs Is Now Open For 2017!
Building on the success of its 2016 Acceleration Program, the Women Innovators Network in the Caribbean (WINC) is launching its 2017 program.
The eight-month peer learning program which begins in November 2017 is designed to help growth-oriented women entrepreneurs innovate within their businesses, and have the self-confidence to make the necessary changes to improve their competitiveness and boost their growth. Participants will benefit from a suite of services including business and personal development, one-to-one mentoring, technical workshops and motivational sessions.
The initiative is part of the Entrepreneurship Program for Innovation in the Caribbean (EPIC), funded by the government of Canada and implemented by the World Bank’s infoDev program for innovation and entrepreneurship. It will be delivered by infoDev-trained and certified facilitators in nine countries: Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, St. Kitts & Nevis, and Trinidad & Tobago.
InfoDev certified facilitator, A. Cecile Watson, a senior business leader and also an entrepreneur, will lead WINC AP Jamaica for the second time around. She said: “The returns, impact and value created by the WINC Acceleration Program may never be totally grasped or measured. During 2016, we had 11 women entrepreneurs in the Jamaica program who today are still learning, developing and growing together. We are now a community of women entrepreneurs who are still celebrating our successes, hacking through our challenges, sharing our networks, doing business together and always looking out for each other.”
The Development Bank of Jamaica has signed on as a key sponsor of the Jamaica program. Milverton Reynolds, managing director said: “We’ve hosted and had robust discussions with the women entrepreneur graduates of the first WINCAP cohort and we’ve seen how energized they are by the value that the program continues to create for them. Two of the awardees of the DBJ IGNITE grant in 2016 were amongst the participants. So we support and encourage endeavours like these which are directly aligned to our MSME strategy, a key contributor to Jamaica’s economic growth plans.”

Gimme A Riddim: 15 Producers You Need To Know!
You call them when you want to want a fire beat to go with your lyrics, they help you turn that song into the greatest thing someone has ever heard, they spend hours creating a masterpiece that sounds so good you’re not allowed to add your vocals to it. They are called Beatmakers, Riddim Gods, and more commonly, Producers! Artists can’t live without these people, and at times they don’t get a lot of respect. We at 13th Street Promotions recognize these creatives, and today you’ll get to know 15. Watch this space!
*These Producers are not ranked in any way.
1. Wavy Jones

Wavy Jones is a play on the name “Davy Jones”, but he also owns a locker filled with some dope beats! Whether flipping samples on “Locker 1 & 2” or dropping the bass on the Jeeby Lyricist, Blvk H3ro and Kione Zaire featured “100LBS”, Jones is a Producer to check for! Catch him on the next Hidden Fvces or Alpine Compound project!
2. Kone

Whether playing guitar as a part of “Di Vibe” or crafting beats, Kone (Koh Neh) should not be taken lightly. Having produced newcomer Yanah’s single, “The Cycle” and her “Believe In You” Freestyle, delivered the right Riddim with fellow Producer BoomDraw for Blvk H3ro & Leno Banton’s “Sky Dive”, expect to hear more of this creative this year!

He doesn’t call himself a “Riddim God” for nothing. You’ve enjoyed many of his productions that have been complimented with the vocals of Jamar McNaughton, and he has an arsenal ready to go toe to toe with the best of Producers. Having recently released the “Dub Policy EP”, he’s busy preparing his compilation project titled “Top Works Vol. 1” which will feature his ZincFence Records members Ulo, Jane Macgizmo, and Inezi. You can also hear his work on Chronixx’s “Chronology” album. Get familiar!
