With many celebrating Tessanne’s success, how many of us knew her before The Voice? Onstage TV released her first interview to show you how she was before it all. Here she spoke about her debut album, her hit single “Hideaway” and it becoming a classic, her upbringing and her start in the music business, working the band Mile High and Jimmy Cliff, her career at the time, her future ambitions and more. Great interview, I remember when “Hideaway” was burning up the airwaves and it still is doing its rounds today. Again I wish her much more success. I hope she re-releases her debut album. Shaggy really had the vision. With Tessanne’s recent success, it’s only right that we hear Shaggy’s take on all this with Onstage. Here Shaggy spoke on being a part of Tessanne’s decision to enter The Voice, her win, the future of her career, and of course his upcoming staging of his “Shaggy and Friends” concert. Short but a good interview, I really commend Shaggy on seeing the good in artists and being able to help them achieve success. With the Bustamante Hospital For Children seeing 50 years since its existence and Tessanne being a headliner, this concert shall be an unforgettable one. Today, on December 5, 2013, Nelson Mandela passed away. The former South African President and South Africa Anti-Apartheid Revolutionary, was the first black South African to hold office and fought against racism, and demanded equal rights and justice in his own nation and for the rest of the world. Mr. Mandela has been an influence and inspiration to many no matter their colour, creed and location. Having been name dropped in many songs, he was seen as a hero to many. It’s your move. Today’s new video comes from Cham and it features Damian “Junior Gong” Marley. Titled “Fighter” and directed by Kush Asher, we see Cham and Gong playing a game of chess while we witness how corrupt the system can be through a promising young man’s experience. Love this video as it highlights what’s going on daily and I do enjoy how the tables have turned in this as well. Would Cham and Gong do an EP together?
