NEW VIDEO: Mega Banton x G-Loc x Singer J – Jamaican Badman Style

It was a matter of time before Jamaicans got a hold of this. THIS is the REFIX! Fresh off the wildly popular Oppa Gangnam Style song which was done by Korean rapper PSY (Yes, he is a rapper…), deejays Mega Banton, G-Loc and Singer J created a remix/refix of the hit. Dubbed “Jamaican Badman Style“, this version was redone with Dancehall “badman” lyrics. The video wasn’t anything spectacular but good to see these three artistes on the scene again. Haven’t seen Singer J in years, anyway check out the video above and share your feedback in the comments section.

NEW MUSIC: @RealGyptian x @XycloneRedSQ – Free

One world, one people…” are the first few words you hear out of the new single from Gyptian and Xyclone. Titled “Free” and distributed through RSQTHP Music Group, both artistes display enjoying their freedom whilst demanding the freedom of fellow peers. Not a bad riddim, a bit of autotune, but sounds incomplete on the mixing part. Nonetheless it’s still a good song and good to hear Gyptian on new releases too. As a part of Survivor Slim’sJerusalem” compilation album, listen and download the song below and share your feedback in the comments section.

Mixtape Movements: DJ Fusion (@Fuse_DW) – Dancehall Podcast Mix 1

BlogWorld waddup? Who’s ready for a new mix? Got a new one courtesy of DJ Fusion titled “Dancehall Podcast Mix” and believe me this is a WIN! Featuring many of your new favourite dancehall tracks from artistes such as Tommy Lee, Konshens, Mavado, Aidonia and many more. What surprised me is that it’s a pretty clean mix meaning the songs are mostly radio edits so it’s safe for listening at the office or where you know you don’t want to offend anyone. However you may still need to be careful of the sound bites in between songs, so keep the mute button nearby. Click on the link below to download and share your feedback in the comments section.

Swade Reviews: @FiveSteez – War For Peace

In a music industry where the best Dancehall artiste of the last and current decades is locked away from the world and artistes are either attempting to win fans over with a new sound or copy from what sells, there’s one Jamaican rapper that aims to prove to the world that his brand of Hip Hop music is worth many replays. Five Steez is currently the best Jamaican hip hop artiste that you’ve never heard of…until now. Armed with lyrics that promotes consciousness and paints pictures of his surroundings and experiences he has faced, he doesn’t sell you bad man dreams and demon wishes but instead gives you that raw rap.

NEW VIDEO: @Denyque – Supergirl

What’s up gang? Today’s post comes from a lovely singer by the name of Denyque. For those unfamiliar, she’s a pretty hot artiste in Jamaica who’s been consistent with the songs. Her output today is a music video for her current single, “Supergirl” which was directed by RD Studios Jamaica. In the video we see Denyque playing the role of the “nerdy girl” who works at a Coffee Shop along with a red haired female coworker who seems to bring her trouble in every way all while trying to be seen by a male love interest who happens to be their boss. The scenes are pretty good, the comic book elements are shown in a few and the song is a great listen. Click on the video above and share your feedback in the comments section.
