Today we’re taken back in time, 1993 to be exact thanks to the team of Major Lazer, Busy Signal, The Flexican and FS Green. Titled “Watch Out For This (Bumaye)” and directed by Jay Will, we see Busy Signal deejaying while dancers show off the top dances of that year. Check out the Cross Colours gear, the boots and jewelry. There are also cameos from Chronixx and Mystic. Very nostalgic, look at the trends from 20 years ago. NEW MUSIC: @MasickaMusic – Rum (No Kick From Champagne)

It’s friday, it’s the end of the work week for many so why not unwind and get some rum in your system? Masicka sure knows that he gets a vibe from sipping some rum in this new song. Titled “Rum (No Kick  From Champagne)” and produced by Equiknoxx Music and featuring a Frank Sinatra sample, Masicka deejays about his love for rum, how champagne has no big effect on him and how rum has been apart of a few of his experiences. Today’s new music comes from The Sons Of Liberty members Hayze, King Biggs and 5 Star. Titled “Greener Pastures” and produced by DJ Heatwave, the rappers talk about a young lady who dropped her mother’s ambitions for her to go to school for the fast life. In her endeavors to chase fame and fortune she went through some rough times that made her look back on her decisions. In the end throughout her sadness and regrets she took her own life. Good song, not bad on the story telling, and the beat takes a cue from Biggie’s “I got a story to tell“. Check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

NEW MUSIC: Singer J – Stay Away (Prod. By @ItsNeverSleep)

Today’s new music comes from Singer J and he really surprised me with this one. Titled “Stay Away” and produced by Never Sleep Productions on the One Life Riddim, Singer J speaks about a lover that he tries hard to get over but to no avail. He sings about how loving her gets him angry, how she never knew how much she meant to him, how hard it is to stay away from her and how she’s now with someone else. I’ve been a listener of Singer J ever since he collaborated with Q45 in the early 2000s and it really saddened me that he never got much further in the business. He is a talented person and this song is a really great one and should be getting heavy rotation everywhere. Check out the song below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
