We kick off this Sunday with a Remix to a couple throwbacks thanks to Producer Demitri Thelwell a.k.a. WavRemix. In “Mentally Insane Killa“, Demitri mashed together the Vybz Kartel and Raine Seville track, “Mentally Insane“, and Hip Hop/R&B group Cherish’s “Killa” which featured Rapper/Reality Star Yung Joc. Bringing the bass, this Remix should get you out of seat and moving, have you looking back at the first time you heard the original tracks, and grooving for hours! @Neeqah_Music Lashes Out On Shifty Friends On “Trashawna”

Posted on September 17, 2016 by swadedavillain

Lee Milla Productions recently released the “Club Life Riddim“. With an impressive lineup, one single that aims to stand out is Dancehall Artist Neeqah’s “Trashawna“. Here Neeqah speaks on bad mind friends, those who have let her down, urges listeners to watch out for the fake ones, continue progressing and take heed that “Good friends are better than pocket money“. Something for the fakers, foes, and frenemies, Neeqah may just have another hit on her hands. Watch the friends that you keep. Check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

@KingBNJMN Remixes @PopcaanMusic On “Poppy”!

Posted on September 17, 2016 by swadedavillain

What happens when the “Unruly Boss” meets Benji? Earlier this year, Popcaan released his “Tight P**** Wine” single but today Producer BNJMN flips it his way on “Poppy“. Here, Popcaan hits the purple stuff and changes tempo while BNJMN parks the Notnice Production aside as he adds his signature sound to the raunchy single. BNJMN has been pretty busy lately as his Production has graced various projects overseas, and we all know what Popcaan’s been up to as of late (lol). An Interesting take on the Dancehall track, and still an enjoyable listen. I’d recommend you play both versions one after the other. Keep an ear out for the “B*mbocl*** Benji” drops later this year but for now, check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

Posted on September 11, 2016September 11, 2016 by swadedavillain

“Are we a ting or am I one of the bros?” is a line from Recording Artist Maticulus Auburn’s newest single, “Vertigo“. Produced by Jon-Ross Kelly, Auburn is going through a situation with a young lady he’s dating where he shows her love, but he receives mixed signals from her. While he comes from a good place, she has had bad experiences in the love department and is coming from a place of hurt. The dating world can be a tough one at times as there are many damaged souls out there who are afraid to love again. Continue to show them love and help them to put it all behind them. Maticulus Auburn’s “Inner Thoughts EP“ is still available on the Blog. Is there a me and you? Check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

Reflect On The Late Prince Buster With His “Prince Of Peace Concert” In Japan!

Posted on September 11, 2016 by swadedavillain

We’ve recently lost the man who helped to revolutionize Ska and Rocksteady Music, Cecil Bustamante Campbell, more popularly known as Prince Buster. A musical Pioneer, a brilliant Songwriter and Producer, Prince Buster paved the way that many Reggae and Ska Artists worldwide follow to this day. Today we reflect on the Icon by showcasing his “Prince Of Peace Concert” that was held in Japan in 2003, and a 1998 Levi’s Jeans Commercial featuring the single, “Whine and Grine“.
