hot 97 octane

As a part of his trip to New York for a performance at S.O.B.’s on Wednesday, Reggae artist I Octane made a stop at the Hot 97 studio to have a chat with Cipha Sounds and Shawnee Culture. Here Octane spoke on his style of music, his personality, the Reggae culture, Snoop Dogg or rather Snoop Lion, seeing the need to properly market a Reggae/Dancehall artist, and many other topics. I Octane also gave a brief performance for the listeners. Good to see I Octane on a big station like Hot 97, it’s also great when stations like them play many of our songs. In recognition of yesterday’s “420” celebrations, today I feature a song from Reggae artist Chezidek. Titled “Leave The Trees” and produced by Hugh “Bunny Dan” Miller for Our Promotions in 2006, Chezidek warns us about the effects of drugs and alcohol while proclaiming that Marijuana is beneficial to the people and should not be discarded by the law enforcement as burning it harms the environment. He also sings about the positive effects of Marijuana where it is medicine and can be made into clothing and proceeds from selling it could support families.

There are couples, and there are Power Couples. In tonight’s episode of Onstage, Ishawna and Foota Hype are interviewed. Here they spoke about their recent engagement and the attention it brought, being a couple for 8 years along with the experiences, their careers and future projects. Great to see many entertainers settling down with one partner and taking it to the next level. Many relationships work, some don’t, but there are some that benefit both artists personally and professionally. I wish them the best.
