Here he spoke about his hit single and if it was a shot at his ex girlfriend Raine Seville, his way of creating music, and his upcoming projects. NEW VIDEO: @OnstageTV Interviews Wayne J

They say children are the future right? Well in what may be his youngest guest, Winford Williams welcomed 10 year old Wayne J top the Onstage set. In the interview he spoke about his recent stage show appearances including being called on stage by Queen Ifrica at Rebel Salute, his current singles, his talents, how his parents helped his career, being a diligent student, and his future. Wayne J also premiered the video for his “18 or Older” single. Interesting Interview, well mannered child too, and I hope he goes far in the coming years.  What do you think? NEW MUSIC: @IAmChronixx – Champion

Today’s new music comes from Reggae artist Chronixx. Titled “Champion” and produced by ZJ Heno on the Passionate Riddim, Chronixx provides positive music with a mellow riddim accompanying it. Providing motivating lyrics, this is a feel good song by the young artist. No matter how bad things have become and if people you care about abandon you in the darkest hour, remember to call on Jah because he’s there. Ever since he won the Digicel Rising Stars competition in 2007, Romain Virgo has been a consistent artist and a chart topper all over the world. In the last episode of Onstage, Winford Williams invited the artist over for a quick chat. In the Interview he spoke about his rise in his over 5 year career, being managed by Busy Signal’s former manager Shane Brown, his various styles of music, and his upcoming projects. He also premiered his new video for “Scary Movie” and performed a new single. I admired how Romain managed to keep his career afloat over the years and staying in the limelight like his fellow Digicel Rising Stars winner alum, Chris Martin. What you think of the interview? NEW MUSIC: @CureAgain X @JSullivanMusic – Choose Up

Today’s new music comes from Reggae artist Jah Cure and R&B Singer Jazmine Sullivan. Titled “Choose Up” and produced by Jus Bus, this is a song where two people have feelings for one another but one has a partner and a decision needs to be made. As Cure said, “You have to know who your heart beats for…“. This is a great song from two very talented artists in Jah Cure bringing his energy and Jazmine with her soul. OLDIES SUNDAY: Garnet Silk – Mama (1992)

In celebration of Mothers’ Day I feature another song as a tribute to mothers, this time it’s done by the late Garnet Silk. Titled “Mama” and produced by Courtney Cole in 1992, this was a cover version of Clarence Carter’s hit “Patches” which was done in 1970. “Patches” was also a cover of Chairmen of the Board’s hit which was also done in 1970. In the song Garnet sings about his mom being there for him all his life and even though his father died when he was very young his mom played both parental roles. He also sang about working hard to take care of his mom in return.
