The word is out, Recording Artist Protoje is gearing up to release a Short Film! The new venture will add to his ever-growing creativity, and give the world a new way to experience Jamaica. While he hasn’t shared much details as yet including the release date, he’s giving us new music that will give us an idea of what to expect. “King Digg” steps in with a project called, “The Jamaican Situation“.

Featuring 5 tracks, Protoje provides a soundtrack that many will tune into called, “The Jamaican Situation”. Released through In.Digg.Nation Collective/Ineffable Records, this is just “Side A“, and it highlights some of the many issues that Jamaica has been facing from poverty, to love, to corruption, with gleams of overcoming the odds. Production include Iotosh, Zion I Kings, IzyBeats, Ziah.Push, Will Tee, and Protoje himself. While the project is mostly Protoje on vocals, Jahshii joins him on one track. Now that Protoje is releasing short length projects, maybe we finally get “Royalty Free: Side B“. Maybe. Get ready for the Short Film come 2025!

Protoje is at it again. For over a decade, the Artist has been providing music that connects with the listener in various ways, and has built a movement that has been growing rapidly around the world. Fresh off of his massive staging of the “Lost In Time Festival“, Protoje releases, “Legend Legend“.

Produced by The FaNaTiX, Protoje solidifies his position as an Icon in “Legend Legend”. The track is a testament of the impact he has had in his music career, and we are aware of the work it took to get there. The song also recognizes another legend, Bob Marley. Even after his death in 1981, Marley is a global Icon, and the recent release of the “Bob Marley: One Love” Film is evidence that the Gong is generational. Fun Fact: Protoje name dropped Bob Marley albums throughout “Legend Legend”. Accompanying the single, is a Music Video directed by Samo, and it finds Protoje in his element, and shares highlights of what happened at the 2023 staging of the “Lost In Time Festival”. Protoje’s back with another season of new music. After hitting the road and securing a few connections, Protoje felt it was time to return with a new body of work. This time around, he steps out with album #6 called, “Third Time’s The Charm“!

Featuring 10 tracks, “Third Time’s The Charm” is Protoje’s first project since his 2020 “In Search Of Lost Time” album. In the somewhat short space of time Protoje has been active as a Reggae Artist, it’s impressive that his career has blessed him with the opportunity to release 6 albums. This milestone is just a testament to Protoje’s dedication to his craft, and fans will be pleased with the contents of “TTTC“.

Protoje recruited iotosh, Zion I Kings, Ziah, 8 Track, IV The Polymath, and Cadenza, who all brought their A game on “Third Time’s The Charm”. Protoje is never alone during album mode, and he brought along Jesse Royal, Samory I, Lila Iké, and British Singer Jorja Smith who all made valuable contributions to “TTTC”. Thanks to singles that lead up to the album’s release, Protoje is confident that “Third Time’s The Charm” will be another classic, and will open the floor for plenty opportunities come 2023.
